{The story of NoteHand}

A simple habit.A lasting
impression.

Before there was an app, there was someone who pressed record. This is where our story begins.

Read our story
A woman on a call at home, with her golden retriever waiting beside her.
For the conversation.
And everything that follows.
01 / A SIMPLE HABIT

She kept the conversation.

We’ll call her Rose.

She recorded her professional meetings using the Notes app on her iPhone. A simple way to keep what had been said, so she could return to it later.

That habit proved useful beyond the meeting itself. When disagreements arose, in both professional and personal situations, having a recording helped her revisit the conversation and clarify what had been said.

It was a small, practical thing. But the reassurance it offered stayed with us.

Rose is a name we use here to respect her privacy.

02 / WHY IT MATTERED

A conversation ends.
Its consequences don’t.

A meeting can be over in half an hour. The decisions made in it might shape the next six months.

Someone agrees to a deadline. A question goes unanswered. A promise sounds clear at the time, then becomes less clear a week later. We leave with our own understanding of what happened and trust that we’ll remember the parts that matter.

Rose’s habit made us think about how much we ask of memory. And how different it feels to have something you can go back to.

That became the starting point for NoteHand: make it easier to keep a useful record of a conversation, and easier to find your way back to it.

{The thought that stayed with us}

Some conversations deserve
more than a memory.

03 / WHAT WE BUILT

From a useful habit
to a helping hand.

At BITSUMMIT, we spend our days in client calls, vendor reviews and internal meetings. We knew the value of a clear record. We also knew that a recording alone can leave you with a lot to work through.

So we built NoteHand for Mac. It captures the conversation and turns it into meeting notes with decisions, action items and open questions. A record you can use, with the transcript there when you need the detail.

We wanted it to help before the call ended, too. Coach suggests questions while you’re still in the conversation, giving you a chance to clarify a deadline, name an owner or ask the question you might otherwise remember too late.

And because these are real conversations, sometimes sensitive ones, control over how they’re processed belongs with you. Transcription happens on your Mac. You choose a local AI model or your own cloud provider for coaching and notes.

For Rose.

For the quiet habit that became
the beginning of something bigger.

And for reminding us that being able
to return to a conversation
can make it easier to move forward.
