    Selected updates

Illustrative example. The timeline plays itself. Drag it, or press play, to take over. The four marks are selected updates from a 47-minute call; in the app, Coach refreshes about every 30 seconds.

A budget is mentioned. The approver isn't.

The client has set aside a budget for the pilot, but nobody has said who approves it. Coach flags the open point so you can ask before the meeting ends. Marcus answers that Dana signs it off and will confirm by Friday, and the note records exactly that. See the resulting note.

Coach runs a cycle about every 30 seconds while recording, working from the transcript and anything you typed before or during the call. It opens in its own window on your Mac when recording starts, and you can pause it from the menu bar.

Who needs to approve the budget before we start?

    Live Coach

Help during the call, and a record after it.

Bring your agenda into the conversation

Add the questions and topics you want to cover before joining. Coach uses that context alongside the transcript to suggest what still needs attention.

Keep track of what you agreed to do

As the conversation moves on, Coach helps you revisit open points and the commitments you have made. Your notes give you the decisions and commitments to use in your follow-up.

    Choose where the AI runs

Coach and post-call notes each use the provider and model you set in Settings › Models. Ollama runs a local model on your Mac. If you choose OpenAI, Anthropic or a custom endpoint, transcript text is sent to that provider under your own account and billed by them. Audio is never sent.

    Questions

The ones we get asked about Coach.

    How often does Coach update?

About every 30 seconds while recording is running, provided the model responds in time. A slow local model on an older Mac stretches the gap.

Can I add my own questions?

Yes. Add your agenda, names or questions before the call, or a note during it, and Coach uses them as context for the next update.

    Does it join the meeting?

No bot joins. Coach appears in a window on your Mac. If you share your whole screen, that window is part of what you share, so confirm what is visible before sharing.

Can I use it without a cloud AI provider?

Yes, with a local model configured through Ollama. Coach then runs entirely on your Mac.

What does Coach send to a cloud provider?

When you select OpenAI, Anthropic or a custom endpoint for Coach, NoteHand sends the transcript text since the last update and any agenda or notes you’ve entered in the Coach window. Requests go directly to your selected provider and use your API key for authentication. Audio is not sent.
